How to make a client happy
You’ve probably heard this before, but one of the best ways to make a client happy is to overdeliver on your promises.
Not only does it impress your client if you offer them something well above and beyond what you have promised them, but they’re more likely to tell their friends and colleagues too – especially if you did something truly amazing!
One example of a business overdelivering in the offline world is a restaurant in the US. When you make your booking, you are asked for a contact number. Prior to your arrival they will call you to confirm your dinner reservation, and also check to see if you have any dietry requirements.
I’m not sure if this is the same restaurant, but I heard of one that offered a service where they would send somebody out to get your car when you asked for the bill, and would have the car running and heater turned on so you wouldn’t have to get into a freezing cold car in the middle of winter!
These gestures are really not that big, but I’ve heard all about this restaurant that is located thousands of miles away! Doing the little things on a consistent basis will get you known.
Whatever you choose to do, make sure you do it on a consistent basis and you will have your clients coming back again and again. So what can you do to go the extra mile for your clients? Is there a free report, audio or video you can offer them via email that would benefit your clients in some way? Or maybe you could offer them occasional discounts or rewards for using their services?
Have you heard of anybody offering an amazing extra to their clients that goes above and beyond? Tell us about it!
The Power of Article Marketing

The Power of Article Marketing
Article marketing is a very powerful strategy used by internet marketers all over the world and involves writing several articles and posting them either to your blog or website, or to article directories.
For article marketing to work well, articles should be written and submitted on a consistent basis, until at least you have established a significant web presence, although keeping up the momentum with your articles is a great way to build your exposure to the online world.
If you’re not one who is inclined to spend hours each week writing and submitting articles to your website and article directories for you, that’s perfectly ok, because we can help you with that.

Here’s a quick video I put together to talk about an experiment I did to see if article markting really worked…
How to find people to Follow on Twitter
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve heard of Twitter, although you’re probably wondering what on earth this “bird thing” is, right?
From Wikipedia, “Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers.”
Now, unless you’ve been using Twitter for a while, that probably means absolutely NOTHING to you right now!
So let me explain it in business terms, to give you an idea of why this is so powerful. Let’s say I have a product or service that I want to promote to the world.
I would set up a Twitter account and find some people to follow (more on this in a moment), and after I have a decent number of followers (even before I had a decent number of followers I’d do this!), I would post a “Tweet” or message, mentioning my product or service, and will provide a link to my website.
I might even post a Tweet with a link back to my website with a hint or tip about my product or service.
Ok, so what’s a follower? A follower is really just somebody who is subscribed to receive your Tweets as you post them. That’s it! You can communicate with these followers individually (and they can communicate with you) by sending them messages. More on this in another post I think.
So now you’re wondering how or where to find followers right? There are people on Twitter with over a MILLION followers! Others have none, and others have one or two. So here’s how you add followers:
- Post tweets regularly and make them relevant to your business!
- Don’t “spam” people, so don’t always post a link. Sometimes it’s better to just post something of interest about your industry and that’s it.
- Find people to follow. Many are set up to automatically follow you back if you follow them.
- One easy way to find people to follow is to follow www.twitter.com/mrtweet/. He will then send you a message, taking you to a website where you can find 200 people to follow!
- Follow each of these (if you wish) and you will begin to notice, especially as you tweet regularly, that your list of followers grows.
And there you have it! So create your free Twitter account, start posting tweets and see what a difference this will make to your website traffic!
What YouTube can do for you
My goal today was to create and upload some videos to YouTube so I could feature them on my website to educate my website visitors and of course to increase my website exposure.
Using YouTube to promote your business is extremely powerful and is probably under-utlised by most business owners.
Now, I have uploaded a YouTube video today which explains our RSS network building service, and what you can see below is a copy of the Google search engine result. I typed in thewebsitemarketingcoach.com and this came up at No 1 in Google.
Now, what I want you to understand here is that I only posted this to YouTube just over 20 minutes ago (just over 22 minutes in fact!).
So while my website is not yet ranked in Google, my video is! Cool huh?

If you’re not yet using Video to promote your business online, then today is the day you should start doing so – you will be glad you did!
