Keep Your Clients and Prospects Informed

Emails equal moneyWhether you have clients, prospects or both, it is vitally important that you communicate with them regularly if you want them to either buy from you in the first place, or become a repeat buyer.

Here’s why I say this: Let’s say that the first time they come across your business they’re interested in your product or service, but aren’t yet prepared to or they’re not in a position to purchase your products or services.  That’s ok – as long as they have subscribed to your blog or your newsletter.

By subscribing to your blog, your prospect will receive updates whenever you post to your blog, so when you have some news about your business or products and services that might interest your prospects and existing clients, post about it!

On the other hand, you can set up an email marketing campaign that literally runs itself.  You set it up in advance, and your subscribed clients and prospects are automatically sent a series of emails over a set period of time.  You’re also able to send out the occasional broadcast if for example you have a special going.

Ok, so how does this turn them into a potential buyer?

For starters, your regular blog posts or emails means that you will regularly be on their mind.  So while they weren’t prepared or able to buy from you a few months ago, their situation may have changed and your email or blog post means that you’re the first person they think of.

Keeping in regular contact also helps to build a relationship with your prospects.  They get to "know" you through your emails and blog posts, and this brings with it a sense of trust in what you are saying.
